Bishop David Zubik will celebrate Mass with us at 10:00 A.M. on Sunday, September 28 to begin the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Saint Philip School.  We welcome him, together with our former pastor Bishop William Winter, priests, sisters and distinguished alumni who will be in attendance.  All are invited afterwards to Fr. Kelty Hall for light refreshments.  The main celebration will take place next year with a Gala Dinner.  More details can be found on


Diocesan Pilgrimage PDF E-mail

Bishop David Zubik will be leading a pilgrimage to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC on Saturday, October 4, 2014.  This will be a time of renewal in faith and an opportunity to gather in prayer and friendship as a Diocesan family.  Highlights will include celebrating Mass with Bishop Zubik as he reflects on his newest pastoral letter "The Church Evangelizing", a sacred music concert by the Diocesan Choir, a Holy Hour, confession and tours of the shrine.  If interested in bus reservations, please call 412-264-6162 (Saint Joseph Parish, Coraopolis, is the parish closest to Saint Philip Parish that is reserving a bus for our area) or refer to for complete reservation listings.

Annual Blessing of Animals PDF E-mail

The annual Blessing of Animals will take place on Saturday, October 4, the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi, beginning at 12 Noon in the courtyard.  All animal companions should be on leashes or in safety cages.  Light human (and animal) refreshments will follow the blessing.

Divine Mercy Mission PDF E-mail

There will be a special Divine Mercy Devotion and Mission at Saint Philip Church on Sunday, November 2 starting at 3:00 P.M.  The Sisters of the Reparation of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus from Steubenville, Ohio, will present the message of Divine Mercy as given by Our Lord to Saint Faustina.

The program will consist of Benediction, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, the Divine Mercy message by the Sisters, an opportunity for individual confessions, and veneration of Saint Faustina's first class relic.  Following the Devotions there will be an informal reception in Father Kelty Hall (church basement) along with the sale of religious items.

Please bring your family and friends and learn more about this beautiful devotion to the Mercy of God.
